Spanish delegation accompanies King Felipe, Queen Letizia to funeral of Pope Francis

Vatican City, Apr 26 (EFE).- King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia arrived at St Peter's Basilica on Saturday to pay tribute to Pope Francis in front of his coffin, minutes before taking their places in the square to attend the Pope's funeral. The King and Queen were accompanied by the Spanish delegation that traveled to the Vatican to attend the ceremony, made up of the Vice-Presidents María Jesús Montero and Yolanda Díaz, the Minister of the Presidency, Félix Bolaños, and the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo. The solemn event was attended by more than 140 international delegations, and more than 250,000 people listened to the funeral, presided over by Cardinal Re, from the Vatican Square and the surrounding area.
