Woman arrested after knife attack injures 17 at Hamburg central station

Hamburg (Germany), May 23 (EFE).- Police on Friday reported the arrest of a 39-year-old woman who allegedly acted alone in a knife attack that left up to 17 people injured at Hamburg’s central train station, according to German media. “The person arrested is a 39-year-old woman. Based on what we know so far, we believe she acted alone. The investigation is ongoing,” Hamburg Police stated on its X social media account. The post added that “confirmed figures on the number of injured” were not yet available, although authorities acknowledged that “several people” are in critical condition due to serious injuries.
