March in Panama demands end to judicialization of protests

Panama City, May 23 (EFE).- Hundreds of teachers and construction workers, on a month-long labor strike, marched through Panama City on Friday to protest what they call the “judicialization” of social protests against policies by President José Raúl Mulino’s government. The march, organized by the militant Suntracs construction union, began at a central park in the capital, with protesters aiming to reach the presidential palace in the city's historic district.
